このたび、第３５回国際生物学賞受賞候補者の推薦受付を開始しましたので、ご案内いたします。
国際生物学賞は、昭和天皇のご在位６０年と長年にわたる生物学のご研究を記念するとともに、本賞の発展に寄与されている今上天皇の長年にわたる魚類分類学（ハゼ類）の御研究を併せて記念し、生物学の奨励を目的とした賞です。日本学術振興会は国際生物学賞委員会（委員長：井村裕夫 日本学士院幹事）の事務局を務めております。
本賞は、毎年生物学の授賞分野を選定の上、世界各国から寄せられた推薦の中から、当該分野の研究において優れた業績を挙げ、世界の学術の進歩に大きな貢献をした研究者を選考して、授賞しています。
つきましては、受賞候補者をご推薦いただきたく、よろしくお願いいたします。推薦方法の詳細は以下の通りです。

授賞対象分野：昆虫の生物学
推薦方法：日本学術振興会のウェブサイト（http://www.jsps.go.jp/j-biol/nomination.html）にアクセスし、国際生物学賞電子推薦受付フォーム（“NOMINATION FORM”）に必要事項を英文でご記入の上、同サイトにあるフォームから作成した“Nominee Achievement Form”をアップロードしてください。
※上記ウェブサイト以外からのご推薦を希望される場合は下記担当までご連絡ください。

The Call for Nominations of 2019 (35th) International Prize for Biology was opened.
The International Prize for Biology is a commemorative prize to celebrate the sixty-year reign of Emperor Showa and his longtime devotion to biological research. It also pays tribute to the present Emperor, His Majesty, Emperor Akihito, who has striven for many years to advance the study of gobioid fish taxonomy while contributing continuously to the developing of this Prize.
Based on nominations gathered from around the world, the Prize is awarded annually to a researcher who has made an outstanding contribution to make advance in biological sciences.
The research field of this year’s Prize is “Biology of Insects.” In this regard, I would like to invite you to nominate a recipient for the 2018 Prize. Please go to the International Prize for Biology Awards page at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science website (http://www.jsps.go.jp/english/e-biol/nomination.html), download the nomination format, type the necessary information in English in the prescribed forms and send them to the secretariat by e-nomination form.
